I think the oops is that this is the Mk3 forum, not the Mk1 forum.

Thanks for the info. But I've heard from my sources they have been having problems. I have enough already. I'm going to steer clear.

First of all, welcome to the 21st century.

For example (just to name a few), the Lamborghini Aventador, Porsche 918 Spyder, Ferrari 458, and Nissan GT-R are not available with a conventional manual transmission.
Are you saying that only idiots or old men would buy any of these?
If a conventional manual transmission is superior, why don't any of these manufacturers offer one in their supercars?

F1 cars have automated transmissions, just as I said.
What is your point?

Guys, when we're making the MT/AT argument, can you not be putting down women, saying that even we "wouldn't be dumb enough", et al? It's really demeaning. I drive a DCT because it's convenient to me. There's a reason we have advanced to this technology, and it's not because MT is "too hard" to learn (I do know how to drive a stick). I drive airplanes every day, and maintain them for a living; I don't need a manual transmission to justify myself as a bad. Fair bet I can outwrench more than half of the guys here.

If driving a stick is what makes you feel like a man, you are not a man.

The front suspension .... I still don't know yet if it's a problem of strut, springs, etc. But it makes a terrible noise, and dealer doesn't want to fix this anymore (still under warranty) - they tried to add grease to struts, changed the link kit, etc. My wife has a 2013 Ford Escape Se, it makes the same annoying noise in the front...
It makes a terrible "jumping on a old mattress" noise. Hate my car cause of this. Never buying a ford again, sorry.
