The dealer called today and pretty much said I was imagining the transmission issues. They say they can't find anything wrong with it. I'm really starting to get p!ssed off at this "service". I'm to the point of finding a lawyer to handle a lemon case.

If that's the experience you're having, You need to go higher up the corporate totem pole. If you keep getting the run around, lawyer up. Spread the bad word as much as possible. They really have no incentive to change until it starts affecting their wallets.

Just trade it in and tell ford to eat a bag of richards if they won't make it right.

I can't trade it in, I would take too much of a hit on a trade. I'm going to look into a lawyer tomorrow.

You may have no other recourse if legal action doesn't produce satisfactory results. Would you rather take the hit or drive a car that could get you killed?

You won't get any help from Ford Service Todd here. I too am going to look into a lemon law atty. The salesman we bought ours from said his trans. man has had to repair over 40 with new clutches and it's a regular occurrence. And this is normal?

I'm on the verge of making a scene on the show room floor.

Well, yes, that much of a problem would make it normal. Normal and good are not synonyms

I don't see how they even let these cars off assembly line.

Look here:

http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=281609

Not wanting to move can be a different problem than the DCT issues from threads in the "recall & problems" section.

That's not the only thread on the subject, but it'll give you a start.

Bringing it in for a transmission complaint (shuddering, noises), the other possibilities might not be checked at all. (you'll note they can be hard to duplicate/repair because of multiple possibilities).

Luck
