To the others that replied, I do appreciate your input. All of the basic bolt ons that are available are great. Im just wondering if there are any others that will be developed like what i had mentioned before.

Eventually I'll be interested in a tune, but that will be something further down the line.
This makes me very, very happy. Do we know if it will be SMF or a DMF? I have this theory that if we replace our DMF with a SMF aftermarket clutches for older MTX-75 transmissions will fit, which opens the gate for higher performance mods. *cough*TURBO NON ST MK3*cough*...I know I'd be much more willing to add boost if I had a better clutch....

Also, I just checked the SPEC website...It looks like they already have staged clutch options for both ST and NA Foci...this seems too good to be true....

Spec has clutch options for us but no flywheel as of right now. One is coming. Here is a copy of the email I received.

Rocco,

Actually, we are about the run them for production in the next week or two. I can probably get weight and pricing when I get to the office tomorrow.

Regards,
David

Does your company have any plans to develop a lightweight flywheel for the 2012 and up n/a 2.0 focus? Currently there are zero options available and that stock duel mass one is heavy.

I got this response from Unorthodox Racing when I asked them if they had any plans for development of light weight pulleys....

"We are always willing to make pulleys for new applications/engines but with the economy being what it is we can’t afford to sit on product and hope it sells.

We can make a one-off/custom crank pulley, pricing starts at $475 depending on total size and design requirements.

From base pricing if a group of 10 could be put together the crank pulley would start at about $350 each, 20 or more $300 each, 30 $250 each, 40+ $225.

The reason a one-off custom pulley is so expensive is it usually requires a full day to design then one of our machines to be dedicated to production of one part, plus the operator to run it. We have to make more than one piece in case one gets scrapped out. So between setup time, loading and proving the program and getting a useable part could take 6-8 hours."

Group Buy Anyone?

Light weight pulleys would be nice. Especially if we could get a big group buy. Not sure I could do it right now but maybe in the future.

Unorthodox makes nice stuff, design and development would take some time as well as getting a group buy going. I would jump in if there was enough interest.
