Other performance options??

From what I've read here on the forums there are a number of basic bolt on options to make this car more enjoyable. Now I fully understand this is by no means the ST, however as much as I do appreciate the parts that are out there, there can always be more.

My question here is does anyone know if there are any companies looking to make anything more for our vehicles? What I'm thinking of specifically are still technically bolt ons. Examples: lightweight pulleys (stock size and under drive), lightweight flywheel, intake manifold (bolt on or ported).

For the most part, as far as the aftermarket is concerned, some of these are rather common for other vehicles. Does anyone know if the vendors here have anything in the works or any major companies?

I agree with the tune. I saw more power increase with my tune than anything. I did not "feel" anything with my exhaust, and the intake i could feel but only way high in the RPMs. The tune had the greatest improvement but I don't regret doing any of them. They all work well together. Header is next!

I just got an email from SPEC clutch and theyre going to be bringing a lightweight flywheel to the table for us. So that is definitely good news!

To the others that replied, I do appreciate your input. All of the basic bolt ons that are available are great. Im just wondering if there are any others that will be developed like what i had mentioned before.

Eventually I'll be interested in a tune, but that will be something further down the line.

Yes I am but that doesnt change the fact that the gains from the tune alone make about as much gain as all the other mods combined , header , intake , exh

The problem is the ST exists, it is easier to justify making parts for that, even though there are way more non STs out there, because the higher chance they will mod, most NA focus owners are not going to mod.

Everyone forgets that Tom is a vendor as well. He is trying to sell his product. Everyone else would do the same.

I do agree that since the st exists that it puts a damper on there being much interest for aftermarket parts to be available for the n/a focus. But from what Ive read about the focus, the st has been around for a while. New here for the US, but technically been around for a while. The aftermarket is still there for the n/a focuses (foci) however you want to say it, from years past. There are much more options for the previous year focuses than the mkIII. So I can only hope that development for more aftermarket parts are in the process of being made or are eventually going to come.

Parts will come eventually. My buddy always had the same issue with his Honda. He has a 08 ex coupe. Thanks to the si and his car being fairly new aftermarket parts were few and far between for a while. Now he has all kinds of options including forced induction. This is the main reason I'm not rushing to modify my car so I can wait for more parts.
