HKS on a duratec. With sound clips.

Picked up a regular under axle zetec exhaust with the ovel muffler and wanted to see if it would fit. Stock cat was put on for initial fitment then switched back to the Cosworth for the sound clips. Its a very tight fit and not sure if having heat shields would have prevented installation in a couple spots.

Gas tank clearance. Yes I know the hanger is missing in this picture, its on now.

Scuffed the muffler on the install.

Steeda sway bar bracket just clears it.

Stock cat uphill 2nd gear pull 1000-7600rpm

Open Cosworth header. Cold start idle-2000-4000-6000rpm

Header and HKS. Slightly cold start idle.

And because every one loves a video under load.

The dirty bay picture.

Cool deal. I love my HKS, I scored the larger diameter piping (smaller canister muffler) SVT one for $90 on Craigslist. The SVT one has the round resonator (routes just like the factory one should) and fit perfectly, also the exhaust was very light, seemed lighter than my stock piping when picking up the whole system. These systems are also extremely quiet, I look forward to adding a header soon after hearing yours is not overly loud compared to even some stealth setups I have seen on youtube.

Here is how mine sits, notice the SVT one does not protrude as much and the muffler looks more "stockish" however the diameter of piping is larger. http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=353138

Mine sticks out farther because euro rear. I think the under axle one looks better anyways, kinda like why bother going with with them if youre not after that low hanging HKS look that they are know best for.

And its quite a bit heavy actually. The Roush one im about to scrap weighs about 2/3 of this. The quilty of all parts are outstanding but the thicker tubing that they used added up real quick in the weight department.

I think the oval vs. round resonator might have something to do with weight. I know my stock system was way too heavy for it being such small piping vs the HKS. But yeah the quality of the HKS is awesome, sad they don't have their usa division anymore . I loved how everything is flanged too so I don't have to use clamps. Btw what kind of tune are you running for your header?
