need info 2.3 head on 2.0 block

I will eventually swap the complete 2.3l into my car but until then I would like to build a 2.3 head to put onto my 2.0 block. I currently have crane stage 1 cams that are installed on my 2.0 head that I would be swapping over.

When I get the 2.3 head I would like to polish and port it and install upgraded valves into it. My question is what all do I need to completely rebuild it? and how do I know what valves and stuff would fit or I would want? also can I even put all of that on the stock bottom end of the 2.0 or do I need to upgrade the pistons and rods to make it worthwhile?

I have gotten the input of several others and have been given great advice. This is my first project of this sort so all the help I can get is greatly appreciated.

I would like to make a list of everything I will need to install the head on the 2.0.

Price check how much the parts you want are, aftermarket springs/valves are like $800 if your going the distance with your head. Consider looking at massive speeds head, its like $1500 and last I heard makes some serious power for N/A

I have looked at that one. It includes upgraded valves and springs correct? I would just need to install my cams, right?

From what i can tell, the page says what it says. You can always call them up to ask, I just drool over those heads when i'm bored. Seems like a hell of deal considering how much you get out of it.

Looks sexy and I love massive products! My car has almost everything massive sells installed on it. How far could I really go with that head with a stock bottom end?

Do a valve job on the 2.3 head , add new springs and bolt it onto the 2.0 with nothing else done
The massive head isnt going to make any more power then your head unless your going for a LOT of HP and going to turn it to 9000 , there is no dynos to support the massive head makes any more power , just because it is pretty and costly doesnt mean its going to make more power and on your 2.0 short block you will hurt the performance if you go to much

Is the 2.3 head different than the 2.0?

I assumed the difference between them was all in the stroke. This would be an incorrect assumption?

Stock valves and add performance valve springs , look for the best deal I have tried about all of them and they all seem to be good
