Yeah it is good for what it is. and that is a shame! Academy and walmart here now have 9mm regularly. It is not hard to get a hold of anymore. And at the rate my wife shoots my 9mm Shield, I'm glad its easy to find lol.

I wish it was easy to find. My girlfriend got a subcompact Springfield XD and we can hardly shoot it. We paid 63$ for 150 round of federal ammo. My next weapon will be a hipoint carbine that shoots 45s because 45ACP is easy to find and hipoint makes a great budget gun. I used to own one and it never jammed a bullet, never had even the slightest hiccup.

But being a 45 ammo prices are significantly more which means less range time. Not that you will want long range times with a 45 haha. I love my Shield for Conceal Carry. I would suggest going with a 40. ammo isn't quite as high as 45 and it is a great all around caliber.

With a carbine kick is no problem, I am used to a .270 Win Mag lol. 45 ammo is about 10$ a box of 50 here so its really well priced, I paid the same for my 7.62x39 ammo. I do like 40's though price is great, might buy a cheap 40 handgun when I turn 21 here in less then a month (WOO!). Luckily I am dating a older than me girl so she was able to get a handgun last year.

New alternator doesn't fit with my price/performance envelope... Looking into a new battery though. I have a big 3 kit but i don't know if I'll go through with the install.

Have you guys found it (big three) worthwhile when running substantially less power than you are now? More like 200 watts or so?

The big 3 is always beneficial. It has been proven to not only help with car audio but your cars electrical system as a whole!
