Well I know what other mods I need; i.e. Drivetrain and fuel work. I just thought that I wouldn't be able to make the power I want without a shortblock and that other shit. I'll skip the shortblock for now thought and just get a ported head and other bolt ons. Time will tell if I'll get the Pectel, I most likely won't but I was just looking into it.

may i ask why you're going all motor? all that does is cost more and decrease driveability.

Because I would rather get more power by going all motor instead of a turbo or supercharger set up which alot of people do. I was gonna go SC but decided not to. I don't care if it costs more though.

Okay, if you had a built short block you would be making NO MORE power than if using a stock block. Building up your internals is simply strengthening the motors ability to sustain more power not make more power.

The guy at MM seems to be somewhat knowledgeable I think he was just trying to sell parts, which is why I don't ask for parts advice from vendors.

Focal- I can see what you mean by MM trying to sell parts but Walter Marcy is actually helpful, he has replied to all my emails unlike other places. Also, you mentioned getting the FR head and maybe milling it, Walter Marcy recommended not to go over .50 ; would you recommend the same? or would a .75 mill be ok? You being a tech guru and all, having your help would be great since I have less tech experiance but that will change after I go to college next sept when I go to college and learn to become a ford or chevy tech.

well thing is though, if i amy give my opinion, w/ an all motor application id think youd like a little bit of nitrous maybe, built short block wouldnt be too bad to have, and you might care to venture arounf the FC power specs all motor wise

First off, the car needs to remain streetable. FC's car is the farthest thing from streetable.

Making 170-180 whp and being happy is one thing, throw in a built shortblock, someone to install it and then a nitrous set up and that is alot more money.
