Lightbulb Throttle Body Questions

So, my throttle body is definitely F'd. My question is, will any other Ford throttle bodies fit the MK2 Foci? Specifically, I am wondering about a 4 cylinder Fusion throttle body?

It would really depend on the year since your TB is drive by wire, I haven't seen anyone make any aftermarket TB for the focus with the DBW setup yet but you could look into the mazda 3 TB as it also has a duratec engine and is DBW. I'm not sure about the fusion but again it will depend if its DBW or not, if it is and it has the duratec you may have a chance with that one but I don't know of anyone with the MK2 that has actually coughed up the money to buy a few different ones and see how they fit. If anything you may be able to use the mazda or fusion TB and make an adapter plate to mount it if the holes aren't quite lined up, but you'll also need to worry about the TPS sensor and actuator from the donor car plugging up to the focus and you need to worry if they are triggered with the same voltage so the ECU knows what to do, I know the ranger tumble flap actuator is uses a different setup than the focus so its very possible a different car could use different trigger methods and voltages so thats another thing to look into and be prepared for if your gonna try to use something other than the focus TB. But again no one has actually spent the money to do some research as to what other TB's work with the MK2 so you may be the one to do it haha check your local junkyards to keep it cheap and report your findings or any problems you may run into, i'm sure we could help you through them on here.

I'd just get another one as there really isn't anything wrong w/ those.

Alright, so maybe you guys can help me out.

I have tried 3 different throttle bodies in my car and I am getting the same P2135 error code for each one. If it's not the throttle body, would it be the MAF sensor? Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Yup, cleaned them both. Just got back from Tousley (Auto Nation) with a new one, back to running like a champ.

I did find out that one of the forum members is using a TB from a 2009 4 cylinder Fusion, so that is definitely an option if you can find one cheaper than new.

Thanks for the help!
