Attempting my first turbo build.

Putting it bluntly i have a zx3 focus and i want to turbo charge it.
to start with i have an old garrett turbo off of a 9th gen ford thunderbird im going to send in for a rebuild.
past that i know you can run about 5-8psi without any issues on a stock focus (all im running at the moment is a mf exhaust and a cold air intake)

here is my list so far (please make suggestions where you can)
-Spec D Front Mount Intercooler 32x12x3
-an ebay manifold (Ford Focus 00-04 2.0L DOHC Top Mount Turbo Manifold T3 -Flange Stainless Steel)
-diablo mafia
-bosch 60lb injectors
and some manual boost controller

the piping i plan to do myself which really isnt too hard.

past that ill upgrade the internals to withstand more boost with
-eagle rods
-foged pistons (not sure which)
-stage 2 turbo cams
and of course probably a stage 1 or 2 Kevlar clutch

im not 100% on a lot of the parts. i know there's a lot of threads out there and i wouldn't post this if i was able to find the exact information myself, and be forwarned im a college student so i dont have massive amounts of $$ to throw at this but i want to do it right seeing as to how its my daily driver.
btw this is my first thread

Welcome to FF

I didnt see anything mentioned about a tune for boost ? With no tune NO amount of boost is safe on the Zetec engine , With a tune you can go to about 220-240HP to the wheels depending on turbo thats 10-15psi

didn't realize you NEEDED a turbo tune. (that's another $500 i hadn't planed on spending for a while)
i figured it would still run just by using the diablo mafia on the maf sensor and then it would just compensate for the extra air flow.

No that doesnt address the fuel at all really , and nothing with the timing , you will also need the xcal3 flasher to load the tunes

well other than that does my kit at least seem sound?
and any suggestions on the manifold (for economy reasons i want a tubular style one so it takes a little longer to spool) or manual boost controller?

ive looked into those but most that i find are cast and log style
also they're really spendy i was aiming more for the $200 range
i could weld my own but don't have enough exp to trust it completely.

then ya turbo controller so i don't over boost it and blow the engine till i get stg 2 cams, eagle rods, and forged pistons
