Pcv Hose Leak?

When killing the engine a noticable hiss or pressure bleed off is heard. for sure under the hood, and i've been told its the positive crankcase ventilation hose. and to get it replaced i have to take off the intake manifold, is this the real way has anyone tried it and succeeded without that, or a better method. or can i just get my hand up in it and silicone the whole thing thickly to stop the leak because i'm pulling off about 9 miles to the gallon if that on the highway, because of lean engine. and that i guess leans the engine, as the engine light code reads. anyone have some advice or help, or had this same problem, my car also has the pzev system that i don't believe in but does that effect anything?

Thats the hose I ordered from http://rockauto.comYea, you'll have to remove the i/m. The Dorman hose # is DOR 46034. Better then the Ford one btw.

You could do a therm. No gaskets needed= o-rings. I'd be grear time to do a egr delete plate via Massive Performance, you'd need a tune to delete it. Great time to upgrade, your there. I just got my order from massive & rockauto. Now I need to figure out if I'm going to get a escape 23 i/m or spend the difference on a Flex 3401 buffer vs a Griots/Megs 110v2 buffer. $350. vs $150./$200. Choices????

Ok thanks I was just looking into the egr system last night and yes I'm really planning on it I can get it reprogrammed. Well the intake o-rings should I get them I saw them a kit they were green, should I still get them
You have an idea what was the point if egr on a focus really I see it as the dumbest thing on the car
