Wagon Tailgate Hydraulic Arms

Does anyone know if the hydraulic arms from wagons 2000 to 2004 will fit wagons 2005 and newer?

I'll try to remember to look on my wagons for you tonight when my wife gets home from work. I have a 2000 and a 2005. I'll try to see if they have part numbers on them and if they are the same, and or measure them. Tomorrow, at the latest, but I'll try to find time tonight. The 00 is in the drive now, but until my other half gets home from work I can't compare it to the 05.

just look on rockauto, if the aftermarket ones fit both, then the part numbers will be the same.

Rock auto unfortunately nor most other places seem to list tailgate struts for the 05+ focus wagons. I decided to take a chance and bought a set of the Sachs struts for an 04 wagon and they hooked right into the existing ball mounts on my 06 ZXW. They do seem to require a bit more force to lower the hatch, probably as they are new, but at least it doesn't lower itself and cause me to hit my head on it :)

I'm there right now, don't expect the replacements to last nearly as long, in my view they last maybe a year plus before leaking down much faster than the OEM. I replaced them under 'lifetime' (HAH! what a joke!) warranty hand over fist at the parts store over that.

Head still hurting from raised tailgate and then turned around expecting it to still be high and got it right above the eye. Ouch, and they know what they can do with that warranty!!!!!
