raced a Durango...

Well i raced a white Dodge Durango. We were going about 50mph and he floored it, so I followed for the fun of it. Anyways we got up to about 95 and I was already a car length or two ahead of him. I was kind of suprised, since a lot of Durango's are V8's, but they do have a lot of weight. I know they do make a V6 one. Anyone know how to tell the two apart? Is there a emblem on the side or something? Anyways it was a good time, the guy driving got some kicks from it, and gave me the thumbs up...just thought i'd share.

Well it wasnt a hemi durango. Must have been either an older durango (V8 only had like 230 hp which for its weight...) or a new V-6 one. Either way good race, just dont go challanging those Hemi ones, they'll smoke even an SVT.

Remember at higher speeds, your aerodynamics are better.

Hmmmm, I raced a Hemi Truck and beat him in my SVT (from stoplight to stoplight), I would think the Durango would be heavier but I could be wrong .. granted, the truck did spin the tires a bit lol

yeah it was an older one...i saw that it said magnum on it. those things are a load though lol.

oh and btw, the only reason i raced him was because he decided to floor it, so i thought it would be fun...and i had a good time with it lol

Physics.... Physics .... Physics.

A durango hemi v8 can not beat a focus svt. Svt Lightning, Ram SRT-10, sure, but not a v8 suv. Granted it has alot more horsepower, but cmon... PHYSICS!

i don't know about that, i raced a hemi ram (extended cab short box), and pulled slowly away from him. the trucks probably weigh about the same as the suv.
