Ford is adding a 1.5 EcoBoost, hopefully that will come to the US.

Not likely at present, based on the currently announced power train line up for North America, of the current 2.0 L GDI engine and the 1.0 L i3 GTDI EcoBoost engine.

Should have invested in BBRY stock yesterday when this was leaked. Especially seeing as QNX is owned by Blackberry and their stock surged almost 8% today. Peaking out at $10.

I would call the front ends between the 2012 and 2015 a personal toss up. BUT the rear end looks out of alignment because the tails were specifically designed to flow into the window-line, rear haunches and gas cap, in a fibonacci all lines have meaning way.

Ok first of all, it's not a "new trend" for automakers to make their cars look similar. This has been going on for decades. Get over it.

Secondly, I think the refresh is gorgeous. It really looks great. My only complaint is that maybe now the Focus is too grown up looking. It has less sense of 'fun' in the styling and more sense of class and that was never really what the Focus was about. It was about getting a fun cheap car with unique styling that stood out.
Now it just seems to be fitting in. Again, it's a great style and I'm very happy with it but the Fiesta just got a whole lot cooler to me.

Don't need a wagon, those things are as big as a wagon. Nice styling though except for those double bankrupt Chrysler tail lights. I miss the 1 of a kind 3 door true compact tuner's platform model of the 1st generation.

Exactly this.

I read a good COTD on Jalopnik explaining why Audi's all look essentially the same, located-http://jalopnik.com/there-are-good-r...ium=socialflow. It echo's basically what you said almost to a tee. Considering Fords recent surge toward making their brand more 'upscale', it is no surprise to me that they would be following a similar approach. They aren't looking to capture Focus loyalists, they are trying to bring in more new buyers.

what do current Mk3 owners think of it? i like it.

i think the horizontal bars in the grille can be swapped for mesh (like the ST) and a bit different lower lip, and make the front end a lot more aggressive.

the trapezoid is in line with the rest of the vehicle lineup, and i think the lower lip in the front is reminiscent of the Mk2 in europe.
