First 2015 Ford Focus Photos Leak Ahead of Official Debut

First 2015 Ford Focus Photos Leak Ahead of Official Debut

A new report indicates Ford will showcase the refreshed Focus lineup in about two weeks at the 84th Geneva Motor Show.

Now in its third year of production, the third generation of the Focus will adopt Ford's most recent corporate front fascia with an Aston Martin-inspired grille along with a new set of headlights and bumper. The rest of the exterior styling will be left virtually untouched except for some minor tweaks of the rear bumper and taillights. More obvious changes will be inside the cabin where the redesigned center console will host fewer buttons to create a less cluttered layout.

In terms of motorization, the Focus facelift will be offered with the same engines as the current model but Ford plans on adding a 1.5-liter EcoBoost gasoline motor along with a 1.5-liter diesel. In addition, existing engines will be further updated to slash CO2 emissions and improve fuel economy. The Blue Oval company is also reportedly working on a plug-in Focus to take on the recently unveiled Golf GTE and will use the hybrid technology of the plug-in C-MAX.

The range-topping ST derivative will carry the same styling tweaks but it will look a bit more aggressive than today's model, while steering, chassis and suspension will be revised. However, output of the 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine will remain at 250 HP (184 kW) and 360 Nm (265 lb-ft).

Don't like the interior. Doesn't look "fun" anymore. My dads Escape has a similar hood.

Tail lights on the hatch still suck.

and again… Ford giving ALL the cars that "Aston-Martin" style front grille…

Just like Dodge and Acura does with all their vehicles… give them ALL the same style front fascia. Never was a fan of that.

Yeah the Aston-Martin grill is overplayed already.

I like the interior tho, looks a bit cleaner more european-ish, pocket below the HVAC and I see a #6 on the shifter

The renderings look to be of the Euro-spec models (note the mirror turn signal locations and the rear fog light switch) so perhaps we'll still get just 5 in non-STs.

I like them. The hatch's tail lights are a bit too squished for my taste but the front is quite stylish.

I do want some sedan photos though...

Meh, not into the same frontend across multiple models like Nissan and Toyota have really taken to and maybe for once I am glad I got an earlier model since I find the Focus' frontend to be unique and original.

Interior looks more upscale and I do prefer that over the phone layout with all the numbers cascading down the console.

Everyone knocks on the new model every single generation until they see others buying them. I haven't been on the forum long, but have snooped around the much older post and noticed the second gens were bashed when the new photos came out and then boom 6 months later everyone wanted one, same with the 1.5G model. Its always been like this, and even is the same with other models. Oh well. To me it looks better.

The steering wheel resembles the fiesta. I like the Focus' version better. Other than that, I kinda like the new look. The interior is not that much of a departure from the 2012-2014 models.
