That Riser is a good looking piece - adjustable as well!

Putting the lever where it's easiest to reach is a good "race mod". Might not look cool to all, practical function rules. Closer to the wheel & not having to reach for it lets you get your hand back on the wheel quicker - a real advantage.

Lower bar is a good addition as well, firms things up more than any other one of the typical chassis bars.

A shifter gets lower because short shifters are... shorter, hey imagine that. This isnt ergonomical or the point. It is a byproduct of the design to make movement shorter when shifting.* A second influence when racing is the time that my hand is off the wheel to get to the shifter and back. The further away the shifter is the longer that time.

This rise wont change the amount the shifter needs to move to change gear but it will make it closer to the wheel and allow for faster shifting in the end, in theory.

notice how they made they made the wheel and shifter so close. So the transition is quick and easy. Instead of over a foot away.

*this is different in racecars where you see very long shift rods. this is because they have complete control over transmissions, towers, linkage, and such.

That is his harness bar. So it mounts up to the B-pillar and rear seats.
