Focus zx3 VS chevy Monte Carlo ss VS neon?

Ok everyone here is a very long story in condensed soup form. I own and have modded my 2004 ford focus zx3 almost entirely by myself (I was instructed on some parts by a close friend who is a mechanic). One of my other friends decided to go out and buy a 2004 chevy Monte Carlo SS (the supercharged dale Earnhardt jr. Edition) and for shits and giggles challenge me to a race. I have had to postpone this race for almost a year because unlike my friend I have built my car not bought it, and now my friends daughter had decided to claim that she and her father will both beat my focus (she drive a neon). With that said I wish to hear what you all think. The race is a 1/8 mile. His Monte Carlo SS is the way it came off the showroom floor as is the daughters neon. I have a 04 zetec powered focus with cold air intake, stage 2 cams, adjustable cam gears, and a sct flash tune. I am changing the shifter cables and installing a short throw shifter this weekend. I would like to get and intake manifold off an earlier focus and possibly a new throttle body. I would love to hear any feed back or opinons. Thanks

It's a drivers race. It always is. The shorter the race, the more the driver plays a part.

Intake modifications will do little.
Exhaust will help more.
After that it's internal work. Lighter parts, more compression and better fuel.
Aside from that, there isn't much in the way of more all motor power.

Off the line, an auto will probably beat you. Which means you have to have a lot more power than them. You don't. So there are 2 strikes against you right off the bat. That means you're going to have to beat him to the 60' by a fair margin, half second or better.
I don't see that happening.
I'm guessing you'll get something like a mid 9 while he'll get a low 9 and maybe a high 8.

I forgot I do have four to one headers and a custom exhaust. I agree it is a drivers race and it's just for fun. I plan on recording the race and putting on here win lose or draw. If I lose it's back to the drawing board. Any suggestions?

Unless he messes up big time you will loose. They run like high 14's in the quarter.

This will take place at a track I hope. And don't worry about the neon. Unless the letters SRT are on it.

We do our races at the flashlight drags in waynesburg, pa. Check it out at flashlightdrags.com. I've seen lots of different cars there. Everything from cobalts to vipers. I would love to see me four bangers there tho since everyone seems to want to run v8s. I can't hate them for that tho lol. The race is may 4, 2014. Video of the race will follow.

I have not dyno it yet trying to find a place around where I love that won't charge me an arm and a leg. I do have custom tunes tho I don't really know if they make a difference. Seem like a big more power for sure but idk.
