You're right, the DCT that the Michigan Assembly Plant uses is from Mexico. I'm not sure about the one that Germany uses, I'm sure someone show up and comment about this chat.
Maybe our friends from England or Germany can tell us more about it.

The dry dual clutch transmission is only made in Mexico for all the Ford's that use it. It's been confirmed that the European models are importing the gearbox from Mexico same as the U.S. Assembled ones.

Please show your confirmation that the DPS6 in the EU Focus is from Mexico

If there is a problem with the DCT, I wouldn't blame the Mexicans that assemble it but rather the engineers that designed it. Many engines in the big 3 cars have engines built in Mexico. My 2011 Fiesta as you know was built in Mexico and I have to say, the fit and finish was excellent.

I don't blame MX workers neither, but I don't see reasonable to build a transmission in MX and then exported it to Europe to have it mounted in a Germany assembly plant, I believe the transmission that Germany uses must be build at a nearest location.
The US, CAN and MX signed a NAFTA years ago, that's the reason MX builds engines and transmissions for the American market, but MX hasn't signed a Free Trade Association with Germany yet.

Tags on the gearbox of Unida767's German Built Focus 2.0 L GDI with Michigan Assembled engine, and Mexican Gearbox.

My old 2012 Focus 2.0 L GDI DCT built in Michigan with the same engine and gearbox as Unida767's German built Australian Specification model.

Thanks, but that is for the 2.0L GDI.
Ford Europe does not offer the 2.0L GDI in EU Focus.
I wonder if the Mexico plant has the capacity to build enough of the 6DCT250's for
Fords global markets?

The 1.6 L Ti-VCT in the Fiesta and Focus in Europe also use the same DCT as the Focus and Fiesta in the U.S, and the US Fiesta used the Mexican assembled DCT in the car that's also built there.

So it seems most likely that every dry clutch dps6 comes from one plant globally on this hemisphere with the wet clutch built in Europe.
