I think quite a few people would be interested in the rear headrests.

With that being said, I would rather have a European Focus over the North American models, simply for the addition of adaptive cruise and some of the trim piece differences. I just wouldn't be under the illusion that the import swap was due to 'DCT problems' and understand that it is motivated by some other financial reason.

If the DCT was as bad of a product as led to be believed by the forum then Ford would have already yanked it and replaced it with something else. Not to say that the DCT is perfect or that some owners don't have issues, but the problem is only amplified here on the forum due to the number of people that aren't complaining and/or aren't on the site. There have been hundreds of thousands of Mk3 Foci sold, and when you take that into consideration the amount of people that have had problems is a pretty small percentage.
It is interesting ford is equiping the focus with the same n. American engine and DCT as in the states, yet equipment wise the "new" mexican focus is just like the euro models. I just spent 2 wks in Mex. city , puebla, and choluca and have seen quite a few of the euro equipped foci. They all have the euro rear headrests and the chrome single tipped exhaust with the rear valance cut out so are easily spotted. Interesting marketing on ford's part

I'd be really interested in some difference pictures in the upper trim levels.

I am not sure if its standard in MX cars but the adjustable headlights are standard Euro feature that I would love here. I noticed it in picture #6. Definitely like the Euro version of the FF better, as well as probably most any car.

It is a euro model, the VIN starts with a W from Germany, my 2013 Focus VIN starts with a 1 from the USA

ASAP I'm gonna stop at my local FDealer to take some pictures, I love the 17" wheels that look exactly like the 18" ST wheels

+ 1 I said this last year and people were griping at me for saying the same thing. Ford is an AMERICAN company, yet they give the better options and features to the rest of the world. I know, it would make the Focus more expensive, blah, blah, blah, but if I'm GIVEN the option to choose to pay more for these advanced safety features then at least give me that option to choose. Don't just simply deny me by not offering these items and upgrades in my market. If I could get a Euro spec Focus I'd swap mine tomorrow.

The problem is the fact that the highest trims of Focus aren't what Americans want. The same argument used then is pertinent now-Ford offers what will sell to the people that will buy it. It's pretty much irrelevant that they started out here. They owe us nothing and if anything the inverse is true-if we want the best possible options then we need to show that we're going to put our money where our mouth is and buy them.

I don't know the overall statistics, but I would be willing to bet that the overall sales statistics support exactly what we're seeing from Ford. In all honesty (and again, without knowing exact sales figures) I wouldn't be surprised if the ST stops getting offered to us. Americans, as a general rule, don't want/need to spend money on a high-end compact car due to our overall low fuel prices.

Trust me, I wish it was different. I'm one of those that would gladly spend some extra money for some of the extra options available overseas. But at the end of the day when I'm frustrated at the fact that I can't get adaptive cruise I blame other Americans-not Ford.

LOW FUEL PRICES HERE??? I don't consider over $3 /gallon fuel cheap by any stretch of the imagination. It may be cheaper than the rest of the world, but it still isn't cheap. I remember gas at under a $1 / gallon, now that was cheap.
