Spring rubbers in the rear coils, lower engine mount, max psi in rear tires, standard psi in fronts, spares n jack out, light on gas, good wash n wax, all excess stuff out of car, remove driver's floormat, no burnout box, seat as forward and she can go, backseat folded down and tucked, ac traction control fans radio etc off, fresh fluids/service, clean shifts, alignment check, filter checks, best fuel u can get.

I have more but if you do all these things and go back you will make that 14 second pass. Cruel truth about street tires is that they're very finicky, inconsistent, and not what you need as there is no secret to time and again making decent 60' passes you have to go with some stickier because you will gain a lot and then you can double that time game on the other end. simply how it works. Here's a video I took Friday, back tires were at max pressure and spare tire, jack were removed. Everyone was running slow that night, best time was a 15.2 which happened to be the one video I have. Did notice my 60's were on average about .05 better, so I'll keep that in mind.

If I'm doing good, great; if not I'm listening.

Sounded like the engine bogged down from 1:22- 1:24, quicker release while giving more throttle during release.

You are going around the water right?

Can we see the slip?

Does the new car have a different final drive? I see you stay in 3rd thru the traps. We couldn't do that in the old car unless we wanted to trap out at 82-85mph (based on tire size).

What rpm are you shifting?

What is the 60' time now? Was never really a fan of blipping the throttle and then feeding clutch trying to catch and slip it out. Some folks don't like it, but i am a neutral dropper. Clutch had 165k, 3 seasons of dragging, and still functional when the zetec got retired during this swap project. Your shifts are too slow (short shifter?) and too much clutch between gears. I hope you are not flat shifting b/c if so than the application is not right listening to the engine in the video.

92mph-Yes that can drop a touch if you drop your 60'. But yours didnt drop alot but you lost 1.5mph or so. Might be time for a dyno to see where she is happy but i think u are already close. Also prolly time (as much as you are doing this) to purchase a cheap portable weather station (or an app for ur phone that does same). it can really tell you a lot about track conditions before you get a whiff of the burnout box. The station could very well have told you that it was just not as good a night to get a hot time. Two words- Density Altitude. You start rocking that shite, you will baffle your friends and the honda punx knowing when to run and when to not on top of knowing about what your car will run before you do it. Check this out for some easy to digest info.

Keep up the good work.

This was the car's best

Shifting at 7100-7200 RPM
Going through the traps around 7000 RPM

Not flat shifting, the clutch just isn't happy with me on 1-2 WOT shifts (I'll probably need a better one).

Also not shifting as fast as possible because at the end of the day it is still a daily driver.

After a few times of experimenting with rear tire pressure I can get a few 2.1 60's.

I have noticed weather makes a huge difference at the track.

i meant lets see the 15.2 slip.

Your 1-2 is prolly fugly b/c u you are using so much clutch. Shift faster with less clutch. What happens if you get it wrong? You miss a gear and abort the run. Come back and try again.

It looks like I might have misplaced it, I'll see if I have it on video somewhere.

yeh prolly not as good weather out and your 60' is on average with your other runs but it was all given away from 60-330. weather, grip, and 1-2 shift.

It seems the next thing the car needs is a better clutch then, all the runs at the track have taken their toll.
