Secondary cat, FSW race exhaust

I've got a 2011 SES sedan and just ordered the FSW race exhaust. I haven't had it all that long and I haven't been able to find out if I have a secondary cat.. Any help is appreciated.

Also when installing do I HAVE to cut the pipe??

If your car is set up like my 05 sedan then the FSWerks system will eliminate one of your two factory cats. The other one is in between your flex pipe and header (stock). And you shouldn't have to cut anything the exhaust ends where your factory flex pipe starts. Just a warning the race exhaust is LOUD, but sounds great deep tone and aggressive almost like a mustang with a smaller engine. You can always buy the stealth section if you get tired of it though.

I have the race exhaust on mine and just cruising down the road with the radio on it is not bad at all, only really loud when you get on it but it is not unbearable at all at least I don't think it is

Its definitely not unbearably loud from the drivers seat, but its loud from outside of the car. I work night shift and when I pull in my driveway at 6:30 am my wife and kids always get woke up lol.

I'd assume the '11 has the same exhaust setup as my car, if thats the case then yes you must cut the old exhaust off (or remove your rear subframe lol)

There are two exhaust mufflers/resonators that are sandwiched between your rear subframe, wont fit through the opening...you need to cut there to get the exhaust off the car

The exhaust on the 08-11 focus is different than you guys.
Good to see a second gen member in the Dallas area modding on here!
Here is what your stock exhaust looks like under your car right now:

Your exhaust manifold is a manicat and that is your first cat. your car does not have a second cat(=
It has a resonator right after the flex, then a round muffler in the bend position, then a lunchbox muffler. To remove your stock exhaust easier you can cut it into pieces so that you can just drop it straight down around the frame of your car.

The race exhaust will not be "Loud" with the exhaust manifold on it. Now if you had a fswerks race header I would say prepare for the rice!
