No, they just stick the wheels out farther. Turning radius is limited by the rack.

Thanks, that's what I feared. Wish there was some way to fix/adjust that. I recently drove a Focus SE rental car, and it was so much more maneuverable in parking lots with its tighter turning radius.

I've noticed the same. Sucks, but with the lower ride height and larger wheels, Ford found it necessary. They gave the SVT rack a similar treatment.

I wonder if the spacers would allow the steering rack to be adjusted to allow for a tighter turn, since the tires would be further away from the inside of the wheel wells?

Or if such an adjustment even exists?
