2003 ZX5 exhaust question

I have been looking around for an exhaust. Now I know the ZX3 and the ZX5 are the same car, Height, Length, Width. So I assume if I find an exhaust for a ZX3 then it will fit my ZX5.... rite?... but what I really don't know is. Is there a difference between the SVT and a non-SVT in the way the pipes are run. I was looking at a Borla exhaust but they only offer it for the ZX3 SVT. so will that fit my ZX5 Z motor? and lastly does anyone recommend a really good exhaust? I'm looking for as deep clean tone as I can find knowing that its only a 4cyl. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Not sure about the fitment (I have an '03 SVT) but I firmly stand behind the FSWerks exhaust, Stealth or Race. The Stealth was a very nice tone, not super low kinda a low to mid I would say. I loved it. I have the Race on now, very loud a little higher tone I'm guessing higher than you would want but I guess I really don't know I personally love it

Well that's what I'm worried about. I am not 100% sure if the undercarriage is the same between svt and non svt. I know everything else is practically the same I will check into it non the less. I have not heard of that kind... thanks

An Svt exhaust is a little shorter but not much its like an inch or so but it will fit the only other difference is that an Svt specific exhaust has a resonator and one for a sedan/hatch doesnt. I have an magnaflow on mine 03 zx3 without a res I find it has a low tone. I like the sound of it, I'll post up a video. But everyone has a different opinion. Its up to you try and find video clips to help you decide.

Well like I said before I was looking at Borla but they only offer one for the svt. So let's say I went with Borla could I just cut out the resonator and put in a pipe or would the resonator be OK?

that's a video of it but after i just swapped my header to svt so its a little raspy, because it doesn't have a resonator it. So if you did decide to get an svt header id get an svt specific exhaust.
