Im running a dual stage boost controller with the low setting at 308whp and 312wtq and high setting at 408whp and 412wtq on a mustang dyno and even on the low setting if i get anything more than about 1/2 throttle even in 3rd gear it just rips the tires loose and spins. .
DAMN I JUST ORDERED 225/50/16 Continental extreme contact and I am finishing a build of about 300 HP. Guess I better buy tire stock.

P.S. have you considered trying a taller tire, a 26 inch diameter tire might help and give you better highway miles? if it fits... and you don't mind your speedo off 3-4 mph. 400HP on a 25 inch diameter wheel and 255 tire doesn't do much for traction. I "BELIEVE" your wider Tire isn't giving you "that" much more traction or the traction you need, but is more helping for a cooling effect like on an indie car. With that kind of Power I have to "BELIEVE" your gearing is way off and your in need of shorter axle ratio or taller tires.

I may be way off but it makes sense to me.

I currently run a custom built turboby comp turbo. Its a t3/t4 48 trim .68 ar housing at about 27psi for
The high setting.im guestimating bu the way it runs and what mustang dynos are like I puttin close to 500 to the wheels. Its a bit rediculous.

I haven't tried the Nitto NT01 myself, but I sell tires for a living and keep up with tires and what's out there. One thing I can say is that Nitto makes a GREAT tire, super sticky. They usually don't last too long but they are one grippy tire, especially the NT01 with a 00 treadwear rating. It should outgrip about anything out there.

Except for the one exception of the Yokohama Advan Neova AD08R. This is a new tire that they just released about 6 months ago that incorporates their new orange oil compound technology. They have been using their orange oil compound in touring tires for about a year and a half with the Avid Ascend and that tire has been killing about any other tire as far as longevity, smoothness, and wet and dry grip. It is seriously hard to make the Ascends chirp and it is just a touring street tire with an 800 treadwear, it is seriously mind boggling sometimes.

But with that being said, the Neova AD08R is a track racing tire that uses the same compound technology. There is a video on youtube of a time attack car in japan and I believe he cut off 4-5 seconds off his lap time just from changing to the AD08R. That is what I would run. They are pricey but if your going to spend the money on some BFG's, which in my opinion is a horrible tire, they usually take alot of weight to balance no matter how you mount it and for the money there are better tires out there. I would just spend it on the Yokohama's instead, the quality is unmatched.
