Coolant Hose Help

Can someone please tell me what the other end of this hose connects to? I am reassembling after installing a rebuilt head (thank you Cylinder Heads Only) because of the infamous dropped valve seat.

This hose (marked in the photo) is a mystery. It is about 1/2" diameter and comes out of the coolant hard pipe, back near the firewall on the driver's side then doglegs left toward the throttle body I think. Cannot figure out where it connects.

Thanks.

Moved this to the SPI performance section for you.

Easier to see for those most familiar with this engine in the Focus.

Some of the rebuild threads here include a lot of pictures, one of those might help as well.

Luck!

Sorry, didn't realize this thread had been moved to the SPI section. I've got a friend here with an SPI Focus. I'll see if he'll let me look under the hood when I get a chance.

Goes on below the throttle body into the manifold above the PCV connection.
