SVTFs ASSSEMBLE... Cus need advice!

Alright fellas so I sold my 02 sonic blue in sept 2012 right before deployment. Having returned in May 2013, I've been drivin my wife's 01 escape (HORRIBLE) but now they tax refund season is here the wife looks at me last night and says "Babe I want u to get another SVTF cus u loved ur sonic." Speechless I immediately kiss her and jump on craigslist. So I found a 03 silver EAP with 92k on it and a clean title but the guy is asking $7k for it. I blue booked it and even with it having the EAP it only kbbS at $4400 in excellent condition. I will post the link below so if u guys could take the time and give me ur opinion as to if u think I should offer anymore than $4500 MAYBE $5k. Missed u guys and glad to be coming back to the family.

Looks clean and like he took care of most of major maintenance concerns already. Having said that, i'd still say it is over priced at $7k. It is still a 10+year old Focus after all. I'm guessing he probably isnt going to be too motivated to sell it for 4500 though but you wont know that until you talk to him.

Get some pictures of the interior or go check the car out in person and talk the guy up.

Yes for some reason people think the SVTF is made out of gold and should command 3 grand above blue book. I will agree it looks clean, I'd love to see under the hood.

here is the engine bay he sent me. He said he has since replaced the battery with a new motorcraft an got a new cover for it. I just texted him and asked him how firm on price he was and he said he is open to offers but really just wants a serious buyer. Lol #rightpricehopefully

Looks pretty good.

Obviously some young kid who has a sticker infatuation. Parts that usually show a lot of wear like the header shield and power steering pump look very good for their age. This is probably a $5000 dollar car tops. I'd say a little more if it were 100% stock 1 owner.

"serious" offers usually means bring cash and look/talk like you can afford it. Go talk to the guy I bet you can bag it for $4-5k.

Also there is nothing wrong with some stickers especially if you take your car in for service ect. This keeps them from throwing away your K&N or trying to toss your MSD wires in which they would find Focus OEM wires don't fit on the MSD coil pack.

That's the plan I told him I'm waiting on my tax refund so it'll be like 1st week of Feb and he said he can tell I'm serious so don't worry about it going anywhere

His dad is a "Ford master tech" and I highly doubt he would throw away wires or filters. The point is, 75% of people who throw stickers on cars do it in bad taste for one reason or another.
