I just drove the car home, I was using my in laws garage. My wife and I both think it is a bit more quite. We was both discussing weather or not there was a difference and I was like, we aren't yelling at each other we can actually have a conversation. So yea it did help.

nice beater. I'd keep it as is and use it for rallyx.

theres something very satisfying about driving a car that you don't give a care for dings and scrapes.

no need to fix it up (unless you'd get hassled by the cops for no bumper skin)

I saw a ohp take a double take at it last night as he turned passed me off a side street. But he kept driving, city cops and sheriff I've passed haven't even turned a eye brow. All they really care about is a front plate which it has.

Went and played in the snow today, I realize I need to get a gopro.

When I got home all the parking places was taken except for one that wasn't plowed so I made my own spot. Then when I left I looked to see if it was leaking oil, and I could see the skid plate indentation.

I recently saw a guy on a thunderbird forum buy enough sound deadening carpet padding to pad an entire 59 thunderbird from JC whitney for $60. Might be something you want to look into if you want the beater a little quieter. And probably cheaper than dynomat.

I asked him what the part number was. Will pass it along when I get it.
