SYNC Galaxy S3

Does anyone else have issues with the Samsung Galaxy S3 not receiving and replying to text messages properly. I have deleted and repaired numerous times but still not functioning properly. The phone syncs fine and I allow message access. When I get a message the system does alert me of the message. But when you go to the message it has Message number, then as sender it has "my info" and a date of 4/10/2003. All of my messages come in this way. When you select it it reads it fine...then when you try to reply it sends the reply but it sends it to my phone since its saying it came from my phone. So it reads fine but I have no idea who its from and I cant reply because it sends it to my phone. Does anyone else have this issue or anyone know of a way to fix it? Thanks.

I have the Note 2 which is essentially the same as the S3. After I reverse paired the phone to the car, text message functionality works 1/2 the time. I have no idea why some times and not others.

I have an S4. Have you gone into the advance settings in your mk3 and make sure the "MAP" settings are on. I would also just delete your device from your car and car from your device then re-pair. Make sure after you put the pin in check your phone it will ask you if your car has permission for a few things.

Yea the MAP settings are on. I went and made sure when I paired it. I deleted it from car and car from it several times and repaired it. Allowed all the access that it has asked for but thats still the end result. It thinks i sent the message on 4/10/2003 and replies to my phone.

Hmm. I was doing some searching around I can't seem to find a concrete answer. Some people say the latest update to ford sync breaks some functions with the S3. Try http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3 it's a great forum.

My S3 works fine ... no problem whatsoever in receiving and replying text. Have you tried resetting the phone ?

Ive tried resetting it by pulling the battery out for 30 secs then turning it back on as recommended by ford when I chatted with them. Is there a better way to restart or do i need to redo my entire phone.

You can go into app manager find bluetooth and clear cache and app data. Keep in mind you will have to pair everything again.

Ill try that one in the morning. Like i said its weird..as seen in this thread alone its working perfectly for some and not others like me. Not that I have to have the feature but it bugs me when I do have one that doesnt work the way it should...while other systems do...makes me go insane lol
