I have no idea what I'm doing

I'm not kidding

A few Fridays ago I went out into the garage to get a late start on taking the car apart. I have a page or two in a notebook of things that I need/want to get done. First was the fenders. After 14,000 miles and two lengthy roadtrips through 9 states I bought new tires. Same exact tires as I had. I guess they needed a day or two to fully stretch because the night I put them on I folded the passenger side one. Pissed? Yes. Lose my marbles over it? No. I knew sooner or later it'd happen. Lesson learned. I ended up folding the driver side one a few months later pulling into work. So I removed the bumper (which is on the list of things to fix) and fenders

New garage art

Rubbing on things that shouldn't be rubbed

Yes that's the washer fluid reservoir

My fender liners (at least one) are toast

Then as I started looking at it more, the more I started hating all of the holes in the core support that were doing nothing more but being ugly. So out it came

Started cleaning it up at work

Then I looked at my headlights and realized that for as long as I can remember I've always hated them being chrome. So some of this action happened

It's a silver metallic ford color. Black housings are ugly and too far overdone. I keeps it classy

So as of now this is how she sits

I say I don't know what I'm doing because there's a lot I want to do and I'm just gonna keep poking at it when time and money allows. I'm not giving the whole list of everything so I guess y'all will know when I do what gets done. I'm not giving myself a deadline this time so who knows if she'll even be on the road this season

Good work so far Ryan. What do you plan to do about the fenders? Hunt down a set of comp orange, which I think would be hard to come by, or just get a random color and repaint them?

Do they sell that silver metallic at autozone or something. I was thinking about doing mine (they came black) and I haven't found a color I liked untill now.

Yeah I'll just grab a clean set of fenders when I find them. The whole car is getting a respray anyway

I'm on ksport control pros. They're set at full low with one locking collar removed in front

This is the silver used. I matched it close as possible to the caliper color I'll be doing. Bought it at advance auto

Yay for not matching caliper color to body color, looks fugly to me. Silver or black is always the best choice. Like the inserts, that color will look great against the Comp O.

No problem

And I agree. Silver (or black) keeps it clean and simple. I can't stand seeing other colors on calipers. Especially red. Hideous

Looking good as usual. Interested to see the machs in the new color. It may be a silly question but what are you supposed to do with the fender liners since they keep getting ripped up?
