Gonna take the hit on a trade

I've had it with this dct grinding and front end shutter, and the Bluetooth is crap so we don't even try to use it anymore. If the front end shutter and Bluetooth voice recognition has been addressed in the new ST I might consider it.

Parts have been ordered and my trans is slated to be fixed when they come in. I have to give big props to Ford for customer service and follow up. But honestly, after I get the car fixed and hopefully straight, the thought has been lingering to trade the car off before the 60k powertrain warranty runs out. Not sure what I'd trade for but I do like the new Fusion a lot.

They do not. The fusion has a regular torque converter auto. You can get the DCT in a Fiesta though.

That's not correct.

The Fusion uses a 6F35 planetary automatic transmission with a torque converter, like the standard automatic.

The only DCT used in North American Ford models is used only in the Focus and the Fiesta.

The ST is only available with a manual gearbox.

What about a 5 speed manual non ST? I love mine. The transmission is wonderful. I love the car.

+1. The manual, non-ST is a great car. Nowhere near as fast as an ST, but still a solid performer with nimble handling, and a sprightly engine.

I think trading for another Ford is a bad idea. You don't seem happy with the technology aspect of the car and moving into another Ford isn't going to solve much. You should probably look at different makers.
