What Would i Run?

Hey ive always been kind of too intimidated to go to the drag where i live. The only one i know of is Firebird Raceway and thats where they hold a lot of car stuff like NASCAR. And i dont want to pull up in my ZX4 and have people be laughing just cause i want to see what 1/4 Mile i run. so does anyone have an idea what i would run if i go there? and if anyone else lives in AZ have you been to the track? Sorry for all the questions but i was also wonder what you guys think i would run once i get an intake mainfold and Headers? thx for all your help

I would think with the mods listed in your profile, that you would probably run a mid 15 if you were a good driver. headers would bump that up a couple of tenths, but intake mani wouldnt help much till you had some more power running through it.

Why don't you just go there one time and not race to see what other people drive if your worried about it. If you feel comfortable with what you see take your car out on the track. Plus who really gives a shit what other people think. Just go and have fun!

I wouldn't worry what people think either, and 15's aren't that bad at all. You might get some talk until you ran once then I think people would give you and the car some respect. The Focus is starting to get a good rep on the track now people don't laugh like they used to.

shit when i useta go to the track, there would be cars with all their neons and loud ass systems running 12+ sec in the 1/8 mi. riced out civics, neons and 2.2 caviliers. I wouldn't be intimidated going to the track, plus they look and go focus thats an 18+ sec car. and then you pull 15 sec. and everyone is in amazement.

I've been to the track here in jersey (atco raceway) a few times... I have nothing but an intake and my best is a 15.89. Not too shabby. You have some more done so mid 15's are definitely possible.

uhh... I start running bone stock, then make one change at and go back to see how much it improved... who cares what people think... just go run, have fun, and spank some civics arount the track :P

As long as the civic is in the last 2 gen, and has the stock block and heads, they can have the rest (headers, slicks, intake, exhaust, chip) the best I have seen them go is a 16 flat... my car bone stock, with all interror components intact, was a 16.3, with my fs cai and gutted ran the below time. that is still stock sus setup as well.
