IMO Kumhos are hard to beat. They are one of the best "Bang for your buck" tires out on the market right now.

Our Focus came with Kumho Ecsta ASTs on it when I bought it and that's what I put on when it came time to replace them.

Hard to beat well under 300 dollars shipped to my front door.

BFG G-force sports! Great performance, good looks, and decent price without breaking the bank! Just avoid using them in the snow!

anyone have any experience with Nankang's? Just ordered a set of Nankang Ns-1, 215/45/17, from discounttire.com. They have them listed at $69, free shipping, i found them somewhere else for $50 plus $70 shipping, so discounttire dropped them to $65 for me, so a few bucks cheaper total. Just need something soon for cheap.

Well, it's "you get what you pay for" situation. I have used them, and they're a pretty ok tire. Wear out fast though. That would also depend on the driving conditions. Not too bad of a tire imo.

Good cheap tire

My 06 zx4 started out with the P6's, which I hated, so when I bought new tires I went with something half the price, but much better performance-wise, the General Exclaim UHP. Tires were only $65, and tirerack rates them waaaaay higher than the P6.

Have Nankang NS1's (215/45/17)on the back and Winstar Exocets on the front. (215/40/17) I can only give you an impression of how the two brands work together. They grip decently I've only broke traction once during a hard s-turn at speed. The Nankangs are worn Treadwear of 340(wearpattern show I did it in the corners) and the Winstars are still pretty good looking. Decent cheap tires.
But as they are both Summer tires, I've decided to replace them with a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 All Seasons going 15/45/17's all the way around.
As far as favorite brand though I LOVE Pirellis. Had them on my GT and currrently on my truck. I would have got the Pirelli PZero Nero M&S but price was a factor as well as certain points of the Goodyear being rated better on tirerack.
If they handle as well as the mismatched ones I have on now I'll be happy.
