Cant say I Have a Favorite Brand. Usually buy by price, while sticking to a semi performance tire and stick to the main name brands. My Used Focus Came with an older Sumitomo (Cant remember which tire), and it wore really well, was relatively quiet and had good grip. When they wore out I got some Bridgestone HP50s on Closeout at Sears for about 500 (with alignment and all the fees). Theyre on the stock 15s and I love em! Chose them for price and performance mostly. They have great grip, wet and dry, theyre wearing well (even though ive only got like 2k on em, LOL), and theyre pretty quiet.

My ZX3 Is my Problem Child & We have a love/hate relationship. Currently we're back to "Like".

I have only a few brands under my belt so far but I really liked the gt Exclaim. Real grabby, but it did have some sidewall flex. I beat them pretty hard and got 14k out of them before I gave em to my girl, her focus had bad alignment so she ate em up. No idea what mileage they were capable of after that.

Goodyear Eagles

The Goodyear Eagles on my 2000 ZX3 in the San Jose area gave me the most confident handling for enthusiastic driving. Presently in NJ I'm running Michelin Pilot Exalto AS on my 2002 ZX3 with the SVT suspension kit and they don't have the same confidence. They do well in heavy rain and it takes a lot of rain to make them hydroplane. That's why I got them. For the money I'll probably try the BFG GForce next time. For rainy/winter driving I use a Winstar with Michelin Hydroedge tires and they can really go through deep standing water and are ok in the snow. They were designed for minivans so I don't know why people put them on cars.

When I had a '78 Saab 99 EMS I ran Pirellis (not P1s, but one of their better tires at the time) on the stock alloy wheels in the summer and ran 4 Vredestein snow tires on steel rims for the winter. Great combination: great enthusiast handling in the summer and phenomenal snow performance in the winter.

First Gen Yokohama Paradas on a highly modified 96 Nissan SE-R- loved em!!! Wet traction wasn't too great but dry, a real G puller!
Lately, my favorites are Bridgestone RE-03 on my RX8-great wet or dry.
Have some Fuzion HR somethings on the 02 SVT, they came with the car, only had it two weeks and haven't really pushed it yet but so far not impressed-they will be going soon.

just like My sig says: Bridgestone Potenza g009 seems to be a good all weather performance tire and also, the warranty replacement is the g019 grid which is what I will buy when I wear these ones out.
