i see a lot of you are going for the bigger names in tires. may i suggest the korean brand Kumho. hahaha. it's surprisingly good i must say. i've used the KU15s and KU31s on my previous car, 2002 Subaru Legacy B4 (the twin turbo version. i'm from Hong Kong by the way) and they were great. i drove the car pretty hard sometimes and the tires really gave me confidence. i've switched to a Focus ST Zetec (that's what they call it here in hk) which i bought from a friend and he had Dunlops (Sportsmaxx or something like that) and i'm so gonna switch back to Kumho's. only around 3000HKD for a set of KU15s... which is under 500USD. for ultra performance tires, great deal. give it a try. cheers.

the falken 512 are the way to go. they go good in wet or dry. Plus the price isn't that bad.

Such a complicated question...

I worked for Goodyear for 8 years. They make great tires and come as standard equipment on (ready for this) almost 30% of all the vehicles manufactured worldwide. But are they my favorite?

Street performance wise, the Eagle F1 is incredible. However, you sacrifice longevity for grip. Expect 30K or less.

I love the stock Continentals that came with the car. So, for every day use, they are a great compromise. I am on my 2nd set at 45K miles and I am hard on tires.

For AX I use Hoosiers. They are by far the best. I've run Kumho, Toyo and Goodyear GSC (From Competition East) and nothing compares.

Hope this helps!

P.S. I really, really, HATE Dunlop.

Would you really shoe your car with a product made by a company that manufactures tennis balls?

i've got BFGoodrich G Forces. i've had em since last july and they're not even close to the wear bars(but i rotate and balance my tires every 5k). not to mention the fact that they handle great in dry conditions.
