not to be harsh, but my buddy had Kuhmo Estca AST's when he wrecked his focus....he lost traction.....granted he was going too fast, but I had BFG's and I got through without wrecking......just a thought

BFG's #1, make you happy long time.........

Just want to give some more props to the BFG g-Force sports. Driving home from school in a light drizzle and they performed awesome. They still catch traction pretty fast, Get maybe a second of spinning when shifting to second.

My 2004 ZX5 came with P-6s also, 205/50R16s. They're OK in dry weather but I find them too noisy. They are crap in the wet and snow though an d I don't feel all that safe driving on them.

After 30K miles it is time to replace them probably with Bridgstone potenza G 009s since Yokahama doen't make the Avid TRZ in my size and the Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S is more money than I want to spend.

I agree also. I am not as comfortable as I was with the Conti's but I will get there.
In light of todays icy weather, i can say I am very happy with the G-force sports.

for my daily driving tires I like the Bridgestone Potenza G009's. They are good in all weather including wet, snow and ice. Plus handle good in dry with a nice ride and no noise. Pretty cheap too. In the mid $60 range for the stock 15's.

for my performance tires. I currently have on Hankook ventus RS-2's. Great grip, no noise. Sidewall is stiff as hell, when one gets low on air can hardly even tell. Straighline traction is lacking, probably due to the stiff sidewalls. And treadwear wise I bought them the begining of May, and by the fall they are nearly bald driving on them daily and doing auto-x events.

Next season I"m gonna get some Falken azenis 615's and run something else for daily driving this time so these won't wear as fast.

and I'm not a fan of Goodyear either. I"ve seen I"m not sure how many come into work with complaints of vibration and we'd find out the tire is bad and causing it. Plus I've heard complaints of rough ride and noise. If I wanna pay that much for a tire I"ll get Bridgestone or BF Goodrich personally.

i bought my zx3 used, it had 19K miles on it, the original tires were the p6's. one had a bad belt, and made a thumping sound. last week i got a set of kumho ecsta asx off tire rack. went to walmart had them installed for 20 bucks, balanced and everything. one wheel was perfect, didnt even need any of those little weights. others where almost dead on. so my p6's lasted me till 24,500 miles.
