Drove (or flogged would be a better word ) an SRT-4 one evening about a month ago and was actually very impressed with it. The boost coming on was pretty linear and the one I drove had a limited slip from the factory. That being said, I jumped back in the SVT and went out to drive the same stretch of road. Handling wise (even with the open diff), the SVT wins hands down, feedback from the car, the SVT wins, but there is no mistaking the absence of not a 40hp deficit but 60 hp since the SRT-4 puts out 230 at the crank now straght outta the box. However, I still would drive the SVT instead of having to put up with the "ghetto fabulous" styling and dead steering of the Neon. As far as an actual COSWORTH coming here, I really don't see it since the only true Cossie's we are seeing to this point are for Rallying and not road consumption. The RS on the other hand, with factory support after the release for tuning upgrades (Stages, if you will) would sell me completely. I'd even consider after dealing with Ford's inept service department.

What would I pay?...........24,000.00 w/5 year 60,000 mile bumper to bumper

The top models in Asutralia are the Zetec and ST170. No Turbo models, but if I have my way, I will get a Zetec and put a turbo kit on it.

sorry to say guys, but i must say ive gotten my focus and i love it, but i love Dodge too and nuthin ford has can even touch the SRT-10 Viper, not a Saleen, not a Cobra, nuthin. Im not puttin Ford down, i like em too, but itll take a lot and i mean a hell of a lot for a lil Foci like all of us own to compete with Dodge Power like the Viper, or even the SRT-4.

the GT is a supercharged V8, ford will never give us a focus from the factory that will be able to hang with any of the new performance boxes from toyota, and honda, and dodge, we all know ther will be a corolla soon that will beat us? A COROLLA!!!!I dont' even want to think about it

Dont worry about the corolla. SVT will pound it to the ground. There is something about imports making engines with tiny pistons so it can get tons of horsepower but little amounts of touque. well, get this SVT drivers!! SVT had 170hp and 145ft-lb. the competion had corolla with its 170 hp(that seems impressive) but the AWESOME POWER OF TORQUE which beats the the SVT by a mile is 127ft-lbs ( BEING SARCASTIC)

Even though the import world seems like its gaining on you. Just think you can make your car better than theres. And also you are an american and you drive an american car. (I dont hate foreign people, business men or what ever. Thank you for reading
