It's all good, I got it working again and hopefully for a while. I just unplugged and replugged it back and it was a tighter connection and so far it has been working. But now the passenger side right side leds went out... I have had these lights since March and worked fine until now. I just wish it wasn't such a pain to get to the headlights. I was thinking about wiring my lights so just the halo ring and headlight is on if that is possible.

I know the feeling. I just had a little issue where I would lose my headlights (both of them) if I hit a bump or anything. One of the connectors for the igniter or something for the HIDs had a wire loose and it would wiggle around and lose contact. Not fun in the middle of the night.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I am thinking about getting the HID kit from DDM soon. I was wondering what color rating I should get that would match the halo projectors? It seems a bunch of different sites show different colors for different ratings and wanted to know what other people were running with their projectors. Would 4500-6000k look good with them?

5000k is what I run. It is the most white and gives the best light IMO

Alright thanks! I'll be ordering mine in the next couple of weeks, I wanted these to go with the LED fog lights I'm getting.

I only run 55w as if you can, why not? I've been a user of 6K for a long time, but I think 5k @ 55w is where it is at.

Oh, and HID's dim over time - one bulb went out on the GF's car that I put in back in 07ish and I replaced the one and tested it next to the old bulb and WOW, huge difference.

I would replace these guys every two years - if you are a lumen whore anyway...

I'm far from a lumen whore, but I LOVE being able to see at night. I too have a 55W kit with 5000K bulbs. I have a small stash of backup ballasts (35w and 55w) and bulbs that I keep in my bedroom (along with my oem head and taillights). My closet is kind of full haha

Did you figure out the LED issue with the eagle eyes?

I haven't ordered the inverters yet but everyone that has them replaced made the LEDS work again. I want to rewire mine where only the halo ring stays on and not the LEDS and strips on top of the headlight.

I got both inverters for $20 with shipping from Elwire. They came pretty quick too. Will be installing one this weekend. To my understating the LEDs are controlled by the little red plug but not sure how until I give them a look tonight. Maybe just keep it unplugged? Hopefully the inverter fixes my LEDs!
