I did my oil change in November before it got really cold outside, put on mud flaps to keep the spray down, got new Blizzaks (which are freaking wonderful!), and put on new Bosch Icon wiper blades (I have never had any issues with these or Rain-X, but Michelin blades suck!)

Buy the (expensive) Ford XT-QS-M5 fluid. It' made a huge difference on mine! I don't believe it's factory fill.

I was planning on using Mobil 1 because of the crazy $20 a bottle for the motor craft.

I notice alot of people really like the motorcraft though.. Just not sure if the difference would be worth double the money.

Ford doesn't make the fluid I think like most auto mnfrs. I wonder who makes it for them? Usually one of the big oil co's. Sometimes to a certain spec. Sometimes not. Now I'm curious. Wonder if it's Mobil.

From what ive read castrol makes it.

Think ill just spend the extra money and use the motorcraft fluid for my trans.

It made a big difference in my 2011. The only reason I used it is because I am still under warranty.

I put the Motorcraft in my Mustang and you could push it with one finger gear to gear. When it was really cold out (When I lived in NC) the shifts improved a little. I used to have a hard time going from second to third but after the flush it became cake. Good luck.

My Focus still has issues with second gear. Dealer says it's normal, I know it's a bad synchro. Oh well. Guess I'll drive it until the synchro fails completely.

My Mustang was "diagnoised" with bad syncros and pressure plates because the mofo was so loud, made an awful sound taking off. Well I through 15000 miles of hell through it without it getting worse or better. Sometimes its just the way the parts wear I guess?
