2014 Sport Package

Is the 16 inch painted gray rims on the SE's made in much less quantities? I work in a Ford store as an assistant body shop manager. My sister is going to trade her 2010 SES in on a '14 sedan w/sport pack in Oxford White in January as I have used up all of my 'D' plan points for this year. I tried to talk her into a different color since mine is white, lol but her and my brother in-law love the white with the gray wheels. Anyhow, we found two on the east side of the Mississippi. Now I get curious and go on Auto Trader; I found 1 but it was a hatch within 250 miles from my location. I then did a national search and found nothing more; I even searched eBay; I found nothing. This just kind of has my wheels turning, so to speak.

My salesmen and I certainly did not think there was a short run of those rims produced but I am starting to think there maybe was? It seems so atleast on Oxford White. We talked to a sales associate at a dealer that is a competitor and he thinks the samething. Any thoughts?

I think it is the color that is more rare. The wheels I wouldn't say are rare.

The Sport package also isn't extremely popular (though it should be, it's a great bargain, for the rear disc brakes alone!).

You could always special order! That's what I did.

I cannot understand why you do not see any w/sport package You cannot beat it. You just do not see many Oxford White sedan's with the gray wheels. Love the look.

SE Sport Package

I had a 2012 Focus SE Hatch with the Sport Package and the gray wheels in Sterling Gray Metallic. It was a great looking car, too bad the Powershift in it was a POS. Otherwise, I'd still have it!

Right now, i think dealer are more apt to order trim levels with the SE APPEARANCE PACKAGE, rather than the SPORT PACKAGE because the SE appearance package adds another $700 off the discounts off the option package.

the SE appear. pkg adds the 17 dark wheels., the sport pkg does not.

My SE had the darker wheels, and the discount package was $1,190 versus $490, and I got a whole lot more options in the SE Appr. pkg.

You do not see many Performance Blue Foci w/sport package at all. I see more in Tuxedo Black than anything other color. Actually, you really do not see many with the sport package. Like someone posted; it is worth it just for the rear disc brakes. I think it is an incredible deal. I just wish the fog lamp housings were black instead of chrome. That may be one of the few mods I do to mine; swap out the chrome headlights with the black lights as well as the fogs. I already installed blue HID interior bulbs in the interior; looks great!

Off subject but today we took in an '06 Fusion with only 18k on it. My salesmen that my family always deal with let me know this morning as he knew my sister was looking for a car for my nephew. I was amazed by this car so I called my sister. My nephew got done with school and stopped in to look at it. He really liked it. This car still even smells new inside an older gentlemen owned it, garage kept since day 1. They just got done with paper work about an hour ago. So glad she bought it for him. I just wanted to share this, sorry for going off topic. Cars like that just do not come in very often.

How much would it cost to put in rear disc brakes if one did not purchase the Sport Package?

If you could do the job yourself I think it could be done for around $600 but pay someone else and you're over a grand.
