MK3 owners with Coilovers - chime in

Hey guys. Just wondering if anyone on here is running H&R coilovers on there mk3?
What's your opinion on them and where did you get them?

Also anyone else with any other kind of coilovers - chime in

V-Maxx has a thread about its Mk2 design. We're all still waiting on the promised 'fix'. Vaporware. Mine also currently rides like I have a fully welded suspension. They weren't that bad initially and I thought they rode relatively well, but now they'll knock your teeth out. At modified full-low, they sit roughly 1/4" lower than Sportlines.

I also have the V-Maxx coilovers. Though mine does not ride as rough as Duane's (I've both driven and rode in GiGi) it is a rough ride at modified full-low. Rough enough that my wife consistently says "I hate this car."

Because they are not much lower than the Sportlines I wish I would have stuck with them (Sportlines). The ride was sooo much better, and my wife only said "I dislike this car."

Thanks guys. I'm not interested in the vmaxx because I have seen enough complaints about them. I was hoping H&R's would be better bit still haven't seen anyone with them on there car. I had Sportlines on my old car and the ride wasn't that bad. My gf has them in her mk3 and likes them. However this time around I rather go with coilovers than lowering springs.
The ST coilovers seem like a good price as well and my friend has them in his 06 Jetta and it rides really good but the height adjustment on his rear is minimal

I'm really curious to hear some reviews from the other manufacturers as well. Pics and fender measurements would be cool...

If you install coil overs and realign it, are you then free to adjust it's height as you like or does height adjustment require another alignment? Also, is it a harsher ride the lower you go, and vice versa? Sorry, I'm uneducated on them :(

I would assume that every time you change the ride height that you would have to adjust the alignment. I know that mine changed from getting the alignment done with V-Maxx springs and then switching to the Eibach Sportlines. Any change in the geometry will throw the angles off in the suspension. It may not be a huge change, but you may need to get an alignment to get the camber and toe measurements back to spec.

Yeah. I think we all realize that. The reason for this tread is to see some feedback on different coilover setups available for the mk3
