is it all-motor or is he boosting? Exospeed.com has a project CRX running the D-series motor and its goal is to get it running 11's N/A... now thats rediculous... but they love the SOHCs lol

actually cpyder, that was a breakdown on the b18 motors. Theres a few different generation b16's and also the b16b (type-r civic motor).

There's this h.s. kid around town here with a FI b16 (the one from the SI's). That thing is so slow considering he's pushing like 8 lbs of boost, intercooled. My boy with his spev-v killed him and he only had me by like 3 car lengths at the middle of 3rd.

lol... damn, either that cars not tuned right or he's one hell of a shitty driver. I know from first-hand experience that a b16 (my style) hatch is neck and neck with a stock GSR integra.

but i personally think a b16 is a waste of time/money unless you plan from the get-go to do some sort of FI. Id rather save up and spend the extra $500-$600 for the more sturdy and mod-friendly GSR motor. Maybe use the b16 tranny since its damn near identical to the Type-R tranny in terms of gearing.

Well, you have to take into consideration that this is some h.s. punk who probably doesn't even know much about his kit. Maybe he has someone install it for him, but they knew shit for sticks about tuning. I do know that before we raced, we were looking at his kit, and inquired about what manifold he was running (It was clearly a drag manifold. We knew this), and he said he didn't know. Sooo yeah.
