If I recall right it was an aftermarket module that required cutting and splicing. I believe it works by holding the button, as opposed to a second 'detent' like factory. I'd rather have a factory setup where I can hold the button the lower the window, or push it a little farther to the automatic 'detent' to make it auto-down.

The factory setup is good. My last car, a beloved 1994 SW2 had the one touch on the drivers window for going down, but not up. You had to hold the button to make it go up until it closed. The Ford setup for one touch up/down on the drivers (or all) windows makes much more sense. But then again that was 1994. But it was a great car with well over 200,000 miles with nothing major ever breaking. But as much as I liked that car, the Focus handles better, does better with gas and has a much nicer and quieter interior. And I can cram as much stuff in the back of the Focus hatchback as I could in the Saturn wagon. The Focus has a taller roof which creates more space. GM really screwed up that Saturn division. They should have stuck to the original goals. The Spring Hill, TN plant where my Saturn was made now cranks out Chevy Traverse models.

I had two Saturns and loved them. '93 SL2 and '00 LS1.

The Spring Hill plant no longer cranks out anything! GM Sold it. A company making a hyper-efficient 3 wheeler now owns it. There's a lot of controversy over whether or not this company will actually end up producing a product, but, in theory, it's be 80+ MPG selling for $6800 (base, manual transmission, air conditioning) and seating two people.

EDIT: Whoops, nevermind, I had that screwed up. They are building them in a GM plant in Louisiana. But I did hear somewhere they used to build Saturns at that plant as well.

Sorry to hear that about Spring Hill. You probably remember when they had the big gathering there in 1994 where they invited Saturn owners from all over the country there and had some large celebration. I remember seeing the news clips of the freeway exit ramp just loaded with Saturns. One thing I don't miss about the Saturn I had was those automatic shoulder belts. They did away with that in the 1995 models. But mechanically it was a great car. Yet somehow the Focus seems light years ahead of it now.

My new 2014 Focus! Pics!

So I'm just about to turn over 1,000 miles on my 2014 Focus. Built 11/26. took delivery on 12/3. The winter storm made it a pain in the butt but I finally got a chance to do a little polish, seal, and wax. Here's a couple pics! I love tuxedo black!

Beautiful! Nice polish. I just cleaned mine up yesterday after the massive ice storm that hit Texas. Sand and salt everywhere.

Now shoot a full view of your car and make an avatar!

We have been dealing with the slush, ice and snow. Nasty stuff!
