Upgrade focus svt brakes

I want to know what kind of brakes i can upgrade / swap in my focus svt. I want something like 4 piston brakes on the front and upgraded calipers or maybe keep the rear stock. Hit me up with some opinions on what is the best setup i can do on the focus. Going to turn my svt into a street / track car once i get everything setup right.

Yea, you could go w/ Brembos 330 mm kit. Have you priced out a rotors or pads, for that kit? I'm running Baers track kit. Basicy a mustang cobra kit. For the rear I was a little late getting their 12'' rear kit & svt caliper brakets are discountinued & hard to find, so I went w/ tce's 11.75'' wilwood kit. Found out the 10'' bracket fits better then the svt bracket. By the way, this fits in the stock svt wheels too.

I have Baer's #4261001 track kit & for the rear http://tceperformanceproducts.com. If you want to go w/ Brembo brakes, they have a 305mm kit & a 330mm kit. Tirerack has those. I DK what you want to do Or going for. If you want more pistons in your calipers & bigger rotors then those, checkout AP brakes. Ksport has a 16'' w/ a 8 piston caliper, if you need those. Look up http://Andysautosport.comOf course you'd need some wheels.

It would likely be far more cost effective to simply upgrade the stock brakes with SS lines and high-end ceramic pads.
The factory SVT brakes are more than powerful enough to stop the car, but low-end pads and spongy rubber lines will negatively impact your braking ability.

When I tracked my old Mustang I kept the stock calipers but upgraded the rotors, pads, and lines. I never had brake fade on the track and the EBC Yellow pads were perfect for daily street use.

That is not to say you won't benefit from a $1300 brake kit, but you can get pretty close performance-wise with some simple upgrades.

^this^

A street/track car sounds alot like HPDE, IMHO, money would be better spent on a LSD or better shocks or most anything else.

I get what your saying about the SS brake lines and pads. I was thinking of getting slotted rotors , with top line brake pads and SS hoses . The thing i need now is a way to fix the slow leak in the calipers of 180,000 miles on them. Think i better off buying new calipers from NAPA?

You can buy rebuild kits on rockauto i think that come with new piston seals and boots that should solve your problem. Otherwise the front Calipers are ~$110 and the rears are ~$150 each.
