Just did a long trip over 1k miles total with my '13 SE hatch. My right knee kept rubbing against the parking brake handle and the lower center console molding. On normal daily driving I've never had the problem. Guess I just had to spend some extended time in the focus. I found by moving the driver seat back it helped a lot.

Ahh yeah, mine was broken when I bought the car so I took it out and the dealership told me they were gonna find me one and install it for me... guess what, there still isn't one there and that was almost 2 years ago. :-/ Dealerships always seem to fall short on their word.

That people around me refer to them as "whips" or that they erroneously call their wheels "rims".

During spirited driving, going from second to third I need to slow my shift ever so slightly to prevent it from grinding when going into third. This is the only time this happens.

The HVAC system sucks. Its a MkIII without the automatic climate control, and it just doesn't do anything well. The fan speeds aren't evenly spaced, so 1 and 2 aren't enough, and 3 and 4 are too much. Its entirely too loud. The AC doesn't keep up on really hot days (window tint outta fix that), and it won't defrost worth a crap on any setting below 3, which is really loud.

First world problems, I know, but a simple HVAC system should be something that they've figured out by now.
