Shifter return spring

I just put in a steeda tri ax shifter and I cannot figure out how the return spring goes back in. Does anybody know how it goes back in?

return spring?? are you talking about the tension plate/bar that is suppose to help with 2nd to 3rd gear changes?

It is installed in the top of the shifter with the two screws that secure the ball on the shifter. with the tab pressing against the arm that controls the shift cable.

Be glad you still have it. Steeda no longer provides that with its shifters and I am working on making up a replacement as mine has broke.

Or are you talking about the spring that goes in to push the Reverse lock out down?

It's the spring in between the gold bracket that has another shift cable attach to it. Not sure how it's placed in there. I will post a pic when I get home. I'm not really good at explaining these things.
