Where to find SVT front axles

I cannot find the front right axle shafts anywhere! EMPI part 80-2698 is what I'm looking for.. The motorcrafts are completely non existent and while i can find cached product pages for the EMPI part I don't see it in stock anywhere.. has anyone had luck with this part in recent times?

Autozone (Westland or any other) had them. They appeared to be pretty good quality, but they were a smaller diameter then the stock shafts.
I put in a set in my NA SVT from Dynamic automotive (Wayne) since they do machine work and did the front wheel bearings at a discount when you buy the parts there.
For 'stock' or non-boosted, the replacement shafts should be fine.
If you have a boosted SVT you might want to find stock replacements.
I was trying to find a CV joint rebuilder here in the Detroit area but had no luck so far.
If you find a good local rebuilder, please post it.

I looked on-line before and found Rock Auto and NAPA were the best and easiest to find your way to the right part (one of them had a quality choice for SVT as well). O'Reilly and Autozone didn't list the number of splines on the shaft, so you couldn't be sure you were looking at the right part.

Detroit CL has a listing for an SVT part out. He is listing both axles.

Dearborn Axle on Plymouth rd. in Detroit will rebuild your shafts. It is not in a nice area.

Decker Auto Parts in Shelby Twp can order them (Nice re-manufactured ones). A buddy of mine just got them from there for $88 a piece.

Thanks guys.

Swansong, did you happen to compare those GSPs to the stock CVs you took out? Same shaft diameter, smaller?

Trying to stay away from reman/used, but I will take a look at Decker's offerings tomorrow.

Anyone know where else to find the EMPIs that Rock Auto used to stock?

Sorry guys, I had them done at a shop and didn't get a chance to compare them to the OEM axles.

Shop did say that one of the axles was difficult to install and had to be "persuaded" to get into the trans.

The parts were new, not remanned, but were definitely of Chinese origin FWIW. They work so far though.
