throttle body replacement?

Hi all,
I'm new to the focus forums and have an issue. Last winter I noticed that my accelerator was sticking a little bit, and looked into the issue. I found a few different threads in forums explaining that this was caused by my throttle body being (using someone else's words) poorly designed.
If I understood what I read correctly, the plastic throttle inside of the body expands and contracts based on weather, and this is causing it to stick. Also there is a chance of gunk build-up on the the flap.
I know next to nothing about car mechanics, and am not confident in starting to poke around my engine. I contacted my local dealer, and they said that a new stock throttle body would cost me ~$400 Canadian, plus installation. This brings me to my question; I've come to the decision that I would rather replace my throttle body than to clean, and potentially not fix my current TB.
What is a good upgrade/replacement for my focus? I heard CFM mentioned and briefly looked into that ($250 for a TB instead of 400). Is this a good product to go with? Is it even the correct size for my car? (link related, its the TB from CFM that I was looking at) http://www.c-f-m.com/performancepart...m#.UpOp6sTkt3g

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated,

Regards,
Adam

Yes the CFM throttle is a good product if you wish to go that route. You can either reuse your stock gasket or get a new one if you prefer too. If you have a stick it'll take a little getting used to, but if its auto no prob. It is a direct bolt on replacement and even comes with the bits you'll need to remove your old one. All you need to reuse is the factory tps sensor on the side of the throttle body.

Is 67mm the proper replacement size? I also saw a 65mm in their inventory

Yes, the 67mm is the one you want, the 65mm is for the older Zetec engine, just make sure when you order it get the one for the Duratec and not the SVT, its different.

FYI, the C-F-M TB is more of an upgrade not a "replacement" its a larger diameter than stock, it will increase throttle response and you will have a lighter pedal feel. Having said that it is an amazing mod, it will really wake up the car and make it more fun to drive!
