Sayanora ST

Made a financial decision over the weekend and lowered my payment by $150 per month. Things have gotten a bit tighter with my employer's new health insurance 'plan' and I figured freeing up some cash might be a good idea.

I've always liked the looks of the Fusion, and in light of the warranty offerings, I looked at a Certified Pre-owned and ended up taking it home. It's got heated leather and all the electronic toys, so I really just gave up 12 hp and the go-cart-like handling for some better economics.

If anyone's interested in a very well-kept ST1 with leather and homelink, it's sitting at Sam Pack Ford in Lewisville. :-)

Cant blame you for the change, $150 a month is quite a difference and the fusion isnt a bad car at all. Im willing to bet with some decent lowering springs, a nice intake and exhaust, and you will be able to stay ont he coat-tails of a ST.

It looks like a great car (I like Fusions) but I have to wonder...you save $1800 a year in payments but how much did you lose by trading in an almost-new car?

I didn't prioritize the trade-in loss (and I've done much worse than this in my 27 years of car buying). My priority was getting my payment from $470 to $320. I owed $21,500 and they gave me $20K for the ST. I'm also saving some interest by reducing my rate from 3.49% to 1.59%. I thought I'd also be saving something on insurance, but much to my surprise, it went up $7 per month.
