Just purchased some rally armor mud flaps for the svt!

So I just ordered them today online, they should be here by Mon or Tues... I was a cheap-o and just got the $15 ones lol. Im saving for some koni yellows to go with my eibach sportline springs... Anyways, im gonna take a butt load of pics from start to finish and show how I'm gonna mount them. They are universal fit so I have to drill the holes and and figure out how I want to mount them. As soon as I get em I'm gonna get to work! Pics and install coming soon!

Cool. I look forward to seeing how you mount them. I had some Rally Armor flaps on a Subaru Forester we used to have and they were the bomb. They were huge, and probably cost me 1 or 2 mpg they caught so much air, but they worked great. Keep us posted, please.

They have em on tire rack, they are the basic ones. They are universal so you have to drill the holes and buy the hardware you wanna use. Mine should be here tomorrow by the end of the day, gonna get to installing them on tuesday.

Look what I got in the mail today!!!

So I went to Ace to get some hardware and this is what I decided to go with...

As soon as I wake up tomorrow I'm gonna to get to work, my biggest concern is trying to make them all evenly mounted. I am debating making a template or I might just play it by eye and do the first one and use it as my guide for the rest of them. Hopefully my next post will be with those bad boys mounted up! I will post everything up tomorrow as soon as I finish...

Update...

Ok, so this morning I took the ol'lady to school and came straight home, grabed a beer and got to work, lol. I was concidering making a template but I said to hell with that and just eyeballed it... So I busted out the measuring tape and got the first flap where I wanted it and Drilled! After I got the first bolt in, I tightened it up so I could move the flap to the position I wanted and then drilled the rest of the holes. I was looking to angle the flap outwards a bit to give the car a more squat/rally look. I could not be more pleased with how it came out! Not too bad for eyeballin it! For the second rear flap, I used the first flap as a drilling template, I fliped the flap and drilled through using the same holes as a guide so the drivers side would be identicle to the other side. It worked out perfect! I measured and both are the same height off the ground and at the same angle. I have not yet gotten to the front flaps but here are the pics of the how I got the back flaps mounted, enjoy!

Im gonna take a break for now, not sure if Im gonna do the fronts today or tomorrow... The girlfriend is hollarin at me to finish the outdoor Christmas decorations... lol... I will have the complete, finished job posted soon!

ACE is great for having weird little bolts and fasteners. If I ever need hardware I go there instead of home depot or lowes... The only thing that sucks is that I wanted to get black washers but all they had at the time was silver. I could just take em off and paint them I guess... Not that big of a deal but my eyes seems to get drawn to the silver washers and it bugs me, lol.

When I take the flaps off to paint the washers I will trace it out and mark the holes and try to get it scaned and stored on the computer. Might take me a while but I'll try to get it up here eventually. I still have to do the front ones, gonna do it today at work. Why the bowling alley is open on Thanksgiving I have no idea. I'm the mechanic so I can just chill in the back and work on my car if it's slow...
