HELP: Ordered M-18000-ZX3B different part numbers on struts?

I ordered the M-18000-ZX3B kit from fordracingparts123.com and when I opened the box I noticed that the boxes containing the struts were different. Looking at the model number written on the struts I see that the left and right side have different part numbers. I also ordered the M-5560-ZX3B spring kit.

One is 7S43-18045-AA, which I heard others have gotten in this kit (supposedly for both sides) http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/s...5&postcount=21

The other is 7S43-18k001-AA, which I can't find any information about online.

Are these strut models interchangeable? I don't want to install them if they have different damping characteristics, etc.

Any info would be appreciated, I was going to try to install these tomorrow AM.

I have a feeling that the 7S43-18k001-AA strut is a normal focus strut and is not actually part of the ford racing kit. Mismatched struts are not a good thing, especially using them with lowering springs.

I can't speak for that brand, but other brands assign different part numbers because L&R are not interchangeable, due to orientation of the brake line clip.

Oh yeah - my boxes were completely different, too.

Well these ones have LL and RR before the model number. Others have said the the left and right both have the same part number.
Searching for the mismatched part number brings up nothing on google.

i'd take a look for you but my parts are already on the car =P. i wouldn't think it really matters as long as you have a left strut and a right strut. if you really want to be sure, call and ask Steve at Tasca (?) Ford, or whatever the name of his new place is.

I'd call Steve & see what he says or check w/ your local dealer. I'd be trying to figure that out too.
